Downtown Disney Marketplace is an open air shopping and dining precinct on the shores of beautiful Lake Buena Vista. You’ll find many unique Disney stores and restaurants. You don’t even need to buy Disney World tickets to visit the Marketplace.

Fulton’s Crab House

Fulton’s Crab House offers delicious sea food and scenic lake views. This restaurant serves oyster, mussels, shrimp, fillet mignon, swordfish, clams, snow crab, blue crab, Alaskan King crab and lobster. The prices are fairly high, but the service and quality is outstanding.

There is also a kids menu – choices include Alaska King crab legs, spaghetti, baby shrimp pasta hot dogs and ice cream desserts.

Fulton’s is a full alcohol bar with specialty beers (Key West Ale and Hurricane Reef), wine and cocktails.

Get a table over looking the lake for stunning sunset views!

Cap’N Jack’s Restaurant

This lakeside restaurant has an all-day menu of European and American dishes.

The menu is fairly limited in food choices. There are 7 appetizers, 9 entrees and 4 desserts to choose from. Some picks from the entree menu include cajun chicken and shrimp, beef pot roast and jumbo crab cakes.

Cap’N Jack’s has a wide selection of alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) drinks. There are 6 special margarita cocktails, a good wine list and draft and bottled beers including Yuengling and Samuel Adams.

The Earl of Sandwich

The best place for cheap food at Downtown Disney Marketplace. The Earl really knows how to make a good sandwich! Choose from 13 different sandwich fillings made on freshly baked artisan bread – each is $5.95. Earl’s also has 7 different salads and wraps, plus a kid’s sandwich selection at around $3.95

Portobello’s Restaurant

The recently re-vamped Portobello’s restaurant is an ideal place for lunch or dinner. There is an extensive Italian menu and a good choice of wines and domestic and import beers.

Its lakeside setting is ideal for sitting outside and taking in the atmosphere.

Entrees include Mahi Mahi, tiger prawns, fillet mignon, veal and oven stone baked pizzas.

Reservations are recommended.

Rainforest Cafe

The Rainforest Cafe is one of two on Disney property – one is located in Animal Kingdom theme park and the other is in Downtown Disney Marketplace.

The Rainforest Cafe is a great place to go with kids. The decor, theming and atmosphere will keep kids entertained. There are giant salt water aquariums, animatronic animals, a bar under the giant mushroom and a huge gift shop.

The food is standard American fare. Menu options include chicken wings, burgers, steaks, lobster, shrimp platters, fajitas and ribs. Be prepared to pay high food prices here. The Rainforest Cafe is noted more for atmosphere and its unique theming than its food.

T-Rex Restaurant

The T-Rex is a huge dinosaur themed restaurant. It has so many things to see inside including a giant squid, fossil pit, animatronic dinosaurs, jelly fish and aquariums. The atmosphere is dark and loud – well worth a visit while visiting Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Menu options include American dishes including: fried chicken, shrimp skewers, ribs, pot roast, burgers, ravioli. Note: there are few (if any) vegetarian options here.

Basin Bath Bombs

At Basin you can make your own bath salts and lotions and potions. The store sells all kinds of shampoos, facial masks and massage oils.

Disney’s Candy Cauldron

Prepare to enter the Medeival era once you enter the Disney Candy Cauldren.

Themed on the Wicked Witch from Snow White’s dungeon, this candy store is filled with delights including toffee apples, fudge, cotton candy, truffles, chocolate dipped fruits and chocolate selections.

World of Disney

The World of Disney Store is the largest Disney memorabilia store on earth! You’ll find loads of souvenirs, men’s and women’s clothing, arts & crafts, food, candy, Disney collectibles and toys.

The Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique is also located inside this store. This is a salon and make-over boutique for boys and girls.

HoyPoloi

HoyPoloi is a treasure trove of unique handmade gifts and home decorations.

You won’t find any of the items in HoyPoloi in any other stores as they are all provided by individual artists from across the USA.

The store has a distinct Asian vibe – with Japanese style lamps, furnishings and ceramics.

Items vary in price from $10 handmade cards to $1,000+ pieces of furniture. It’s worth a visit, even if you’re just window shopping!

Magnetron

If you love fridge magnets, this is the store for you! Magnetron is a superstore filled with every kind of magnet you can think of. From Simpsons magnets, to Disney characters, Marvel characters to glow in the dark and novelty magnets

Starabilias

Starabilias sells thousands of pieces of genuine collectors items. There’s everything from signed CDs, guitars, movie posters, framed photos and framed signatures.

The inventory changes as the store owners buy more items from collectors. But you can rest assured that all their items are the real thing!

Virgin Megastore

This is the largest Virgin Megastore in Florida! You’ll find over 150,000 CDs, books, movies, PC games, video games and music accessories to choose from. The store has 300 listening stations where you can preview the latest CD releases. It also has 20 movie preview areas for watching the latest movies.

Free Disney Transportation – if you are staying on-site at a Disney Hotel, you can use the free shuttle bus service marked ‘Downtown Disney’ that will drop you off. If you are staying at either Port Orleans, Saratoga Springs or Old Key West Resort you can use the Disney water taxi.
