Have you ever wondered what Downtown Disney Stores were really worth a visit next time you’re in Orlando? Here are our favorite stores in Downtown Disney World. The Downtown Disney area comprises of: Pleasure Island, Marketplace and West Side. You can walk around all 3 parts even if you’re not planning on visiting any Disney World theme parks.

Downtown Disney also has some attractions to keep families entertained for hours.

  • Restaurants in Downtown Disney Marketplace. Including the famous Trex Restaurant, Portobello’s, Fulton’s Crab Shack and the Rainforest Cafe
  • Characters in Flight Balloon ride gives great views over lake Buena Vista and Disney them parks.
  • Cirque Du Soleil Orlando show. Don’t miss the amazing performances at the La Nouba Theater.
  • Disney Quest Orlando – a massive six storey games and arcade building. This is where you’ll find many 3D games and simulators such as Pirates of the Caribbean River Adventure, Jungle Cruise, Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters, Ride the Comix virtual reality game and Invasion Earth.
  • The House of Blues Orlando is also located at Downtown Disney. The HOB plays host to a variety of live bands and concerts throughout the year.

Downtown Disney Stores: West Side

HoyPoloi

HoyPoloi is a treasure trove of unique handmade gifts and home decorations.

Downtown Disney Stores: West SideYou won’t find any of the items in HoyPoloi in any other stores as they are all provided by individual artists from across the USA.

The store has a distinct Asian vibe – with Japanese style lamps, furnishings and ceramics.

Items vary in price from $10 handmade cards to $1,000+ pieces of furniture. It’s worth a visit, even if you’re just window shopping!

Magnetron 

If you love fridge magnets, this is the store for you! Magnetron is a superstore filled with every kind of magnet you can think of. From Simpsons magnets, to Disney characters, Marvel characters to glow in the dark and novelty magnets.

Starabilias

Starabilias sells thousands of pieces of genuine collectors items. There’s everything from signed CDs, guitars, movie posters, framed photos and framed signatures.

Virgin Megastore

This is the largest Virgin Megastore in Florida! You’ll find over 150,000 CDs, books, movies, PC games, video games and music accessories to choose from. The store has 300 listening stations where you can preview the latest CD releases. It also has 20 movie preview areas for watching the latest movies.

Basin Bath Bombs

At Basin you can make your own bath salts and lotions and potions. The store sells all kinds of shampoos, facial masks and massage oils.

Arribas Brothers

Arribas Brothers hand make a range of high quality glassware, crystal, jewelry, blown glass figurines, photo frames and pewter glass – all Disney themed of course! You can find some highly collectible items here.

Disney’s Candy Cauldron

Prepare to enter the Medieval era once you enter the Disney Candy Cauldron.

Themed on the Wicked Witch from Snow White’s dungeon, this candy store is filled with delights including toffee apples, fudge, cotton candy, truffles, chocolate dipped fruits and chocolate selections.

Disney’s Days of Christmas

It’s Christmas everyday here at Downtown Disney’s Days of Christmas! If you love Christmas and Disney, this is the store for you. You can find every conceivable Disney themed Christmas decoration imaginable.

The decorations are of a high quality and are a little more pricey than the regular Disney toys and souvenirs. But, if you’re looking for a special gift, it’s well worth the money. As you might expect – in November and December the place is packed!

Disney Tails

Occuping a portion of Pooh’s Corner, Disney Tails offers every kind of souvenir and personalized items for your pet with a Disney twist.

World of Disney

The World of Disney Store is the largest Disney memorabilia store on earth! You’ll find loads of souvenirs, men’s and women’s clothing, arts & crafts, food, candy, Disney collectibles and toys.

This is also a Disney pin trading location.

The Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique is also located inside this store. This is a salon and make-over boutique for boys and girls.

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop

Treat yourself to a milkshake, soda float, ice cream sundae or chcoclate bar at this famous chocolate maker.

Lego Imagination Center 

The Lego store truely is Lego heaven. There are some cleverly made Lego figures at the front of the store and even a giant Loch Ness in the lake

This small store has all kinds of Pooh branded products.

Mickey’s Mart – Everything $10 and Under

If you’re looking for affordable treats and souvenirs, stop by Mickey’s Mart. It’s the perfect place for kids to spend their vacation money. They have ever changing stock – so if you see something you like grab it, because it may be gone the next day.

Downtown Disney Stores Parking – There is a large free parking lot called ‘West Side parking lot’ to the north west of Downtown Disney. You can park here for free without staying at any of the Disney World hotels or paying to enter any of the Disney World theme parks.

Free Disney Transportation – if you are staying on-site at a Disney Hotel, you can use the free shuttle bus service marked ‘Downtown Disney’ that will drop you off. If you are staying at either Port Orleans, Saratoga Springs or Old Key West Resort you can use the Disney water taxi.
