Orlando night life in downtown is buzzing, especially on the weekends.

Downtown is where many of the locals choose to hang out.

It’s less touristy that CityWalk or Pleasure Island.

Downtown Orlando nightlife has a wide variety of music scenes – that’s definitely worth exploring!

Many of the Orlando bars and night clubs are located along Orange Avenue which runs north-south just to the east of I-4.

The best way to explore this area is to walk the strip and take in the vibrant atmosphere.

TIP there are many ‘cycle-taxis’ that can run you up and down Orange Ave for just a few dollars.

The Lodge

The Lodge is a small yet lively downtown Orlando bar themed like a hunting lodge. It has deer and moose heads hanging from the walls, a wooden bar, bricked walls and all kinds of weird decorations – like Christmas lights and a giant Santa!

This is one of the busiest downtown Orlando bars – it gets very crowded on a Friday and Saturday night so prepared to be bumped into coming to and from the bar. There is a another upstairs seating area which is less cramped.

The Lodge has a great party atmosphere – music played is 90s, 80s pop and rock – the kind of songs everyone knows and can dance to without feeling self conscious.
