Sitting amongst sun whipped dust left to rot, decay and rust. A proud artifact stood tall. A once fabric of American hopes and dreams abandoned. Speaking with a local resident, mentioned how all her grown adult kids once worked there every season, that cars would line up every night for the double feature. How she would sit within her open window with the radio channel tuned to the drive in station as she watched the grand children. You can still see here the movie screen, the entrance gate that also acted as the ticket booth. This also sits neighboring a once proud air force base whose entertainment has went else where and the area now sits vacant. This drive in movie theatre is now a junk yard feeding dust and contaminates into the surrounding once thriving area. You can smell the heavy metals as you breath in.
