Hey everyone this is Orlando Streets and this is my video tour of The Florida Mall which is located about 28 minutes drive from Downtown Orlando.

This single story mall opened in 1986 — has 250 stores in one-million seven-hundred eighteen thousand square feet of total retail space.

It is one of the largest single-story malls in the United States and the largest mall in Central Florida welcoming more than 20 million visitors every year.

The largest mall in the world is the South China Mall with seven-million square feet of retail space. So, this mall is not massive but it feels large with wide corridors and tall ceilings. The halls are brightly lit and the stores look very inviting.

Notable stores include Macy’s, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Sears, Dick’s Sporting Goods, the Crayola Experience, M&M World, Armani, Apple Store, Banana Republic, H&M, MAC Cosmetics, Michael Kors, Rolex, Victoria’s Secret, ZARA, and The Disney Store.

The Florida Mall has 23 restaurants including an Italian kitchen, Shake Shack, French Café, Five Guys, Buca di Beppo and Taco Bell (bong).

This touch screen up ahead uses artificial intelligence and facial recognition to record your presence in the mall. For example, it follows you around making sure you find what you’re looking for.

Just watch as we walk through the mall another screen will ask us if we still need help. It knows who you are and what you are doing.

Okay, look at this screen up ahead. When it sees me it asks if I still need help. Is that cool or creepy?

Here we are in the center of the mall. You know you are in the center of the mall when you see the corner jewelry stores.

Additionally, the Florida Mall has a 500 room hotel, The Florida Hotel & Conference Center, that offers a home for visitors and business travelers to the mall.

The Florida Mall is open Monday – Friday, 10 AM to 9 PM, Saturday, 10 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday, 12 PM to 8 PM.

I hope you enjoyed this tour of The Florida Mall.
