The Orlando Museum of Art is a tranquil place to spend an interesting and inexpensive afternoon. The museum has both permanent art collections on display as well as many rotating exhibitions throughout the year. Newsweek Magazine voted Orlando Art Museum as one the “best art museums in the South“.
Permanent Collections
- Aztec to Zapotec
A collection of artifacts, paintings, jewelry and ceramics from the ancient Americas including the Aztec, Maya, Moche, Nasca, Inca and Zapote cultures. - Of Cloth & Culture
A display of African textiles and cloths from many different cultures and regions of Africa. - American Art
A collection of American art from the nations beginnings up to the 20th century. Paintings and sculptures have been kindly donated and display works by Thomas Moran, Rembrandt Peale, George Inness, Charles Sheeler, and Robert Henri. - Contemporary American Art
Includes some abstract and representational works from the last thirty years by such artists as Kerry James Marshall, Philip Pearlstein, Gregory Crewdson, Elizabeth Peyton, and Dennis Oppenheim.

Opening Times
- The museum is closed on Mondays
- Open Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Open Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 4 p.m

- Adults: $8
- Senior Citizens (65+): $7
- College Students with ID: $7
- Groups of more than 10: $7 per person.
- Children 5 years and younger get in free.
1st Thursdays are FREE at Orlando Museum of Art!
Orlando Museum of Art members get free admission to the museum between on the first Thursday of the month 6pm and 9pm. Membership prices can be found here: OMA Membership information. Celebrate local artists, enjoy some food and music –and mingle with other art enthusiasts. There’s live music, food and drink from local restaurants available. Each special 1st Thursday will showcase art pieces from local artists. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet fellow art appreciators and support the Orlando Art Museum!
